Introduction to SSRS is designed to help you understand all aspects of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), the reporting tool of choice for SQL Server developers. We will use a variety of lab exercises and small projects to ensure you gain familiarity in how the design and execution environments work, and to prepare you to build your own real-world applications using this SQL Server subsystem.
BI Consultant and Trainer
As a Business Intelligence Consultant and Trainer for Pragmatic Works, Mitchell’s focus is on the full BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS). In addition to the BI Stack, he also has experience with Data Modeling, T-SQL, MDX, Power Pivot and the Power BI Tools. Mitchell graduated from the University of North Florida in 2007 and is constantly expanding his knowledge on all things SQL Server.
What to Know Before the Class
This class assumes that you have no previous knowledge of SSRS. In some of the coding modules, it is useful (but not mandatory) that students have some basic Visual Basic experience. Attendees will also need to know how to run a query inside of SQL Server.
